Day 1

  • Fly to Boston
  • Crown Plaza Hotel

Today, we will fly to Boston as we begin our journey to Boston, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket & Newport to view the magnificent Fall Colors, historical places, and scenic seascapes.

 

Day 2

  • Breakfast, Dinner
  • City Tour of Boston & Cambridge
  • Visit JFK Library

This morning, we will sightsee historic Boston and the communities of Charlestown and Cambridge. You will view the Freedom Trail, the U.S.S. Constitution, the Old North Church, Faneuil Hall, Harvard University, the Boston Commons, and the site of the Boston Tea Party.

 

Later, we'll visit the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Library with its replica of the Oval Office and many displays from the days of "Camelot."

 

Day 3

  • Continental Breakfast, Dinner
  • Tour of Lexington & Concord
  • Visit Old Sturbridge Village

This morning, we will follow the route of Paul Revere's immortal ride of "April 18th, 1775" through Lexington and Concord. The dramatic events which led to our Revolutionary War will unfold at every turn in the road and be climaxed by a visit to Lexington's renowned Minute Man Statue.  We’ll also see Walden Pond and the homes of Hawthorne, Emerson, and Louisa May Alcott, Concord’s literary legends.

 

Afterwards, we'll turn back the pages of  time as we visit Old Sturbridge Village, a recreated New England village of the 1830's set on 200 acres with over 40 restored buildings from various parts of New England.

 

Day 4

  • Continental Breakfast, Dinner
  • Tour to Cape Cod
  • Stop at Plymouth Rock
  • Hyannis Harbor Hotel

This morning, we'll travel to Plymouth where the Pilgrims landed in December, 1620. There'll be time to walk along part of the Pilgrim Path which has more than 20 sites.

 

Next, we'll tour along famous Cape Cod to Hyannis where the Kennedy Family has a compound and many other  rich and famous individuals have homes.

 

Day 5

  • Breakfast, Dinner
  • Cruise to Martha's Vineyard
  • Island Tour

We'll sail by ferry, this morning, to Martha's Vineyard, which we will then tour.  This charming Island has enchanted sailors, fisherman, tourists, and wild-life buffs for centuries.  You'll love it!

 

Day 6

  • Breakfast, Dinner
  • Cruise to Nantucket

 

We'll visit Martha's Vineyard's sister Island, Nantucket, today. With a history that dates from 1659, you cannot help but enjoy strolling around its cobblestone main street, small lanes, plain Quaker-style homes and handsome houses that date from the whaling days of the early 19th century.

 

Day 7

  • Breakfast, Dinner
  • Tour to Newport, Rhode Island
  • Rosecliff Mansion
  • Holiday Inn-Express 

We'll tour to elegant Newport, today, where we'll visit the colonial waterfront area and tour opulent Rosecliff, which was the mansion where "The Great Gatsby” was filmed.  You'll also marvel at the beautiful gardens of this famous estate.

 

Day 8

  • Continental Breakfast
  • The Breakers
  • Fly Home

Before we fly home, today, we'll visit the most opulent of the Newport mansions, The Breakers. You have to see this 70 room summer cottage of Cornelius Vanderbilt to believe it.  It doesn't get any grandeur than this.

 

Later, we'll return home with many fond memories of Boston, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket and Newport!
